June 19, 2008 Watched Sex and the City with sunshine last night. Was a really interesting show I'd say considering that I don't watch the TV series at all and always wondered what the hype was about.
Arrived at town early and started wakling around till sunshine suggested I go buy the tickets first. A good suggestion because the tickets were already sold out at cine. Thankfully nix has the habit of bringing back her half read / unread newspapers and there it was! The next available theatre at Lido. And so sunshine arrived before me (because I ran across the road towards the wrong direction because the greenie was flashing, then had to wait for the traffic light to turn green again) and there he was playing on his PSP. It's always a different colour everytime I see it Gold, black, red. Mad. =p
Since we had slightly lesser than 2hours to kill, we had dinner and window shopped, at the kiddy section and saw so many pretty kiddy shoes to die for. In the future, my child will never have a shortage of clothes or shoes, as long as my cash doesn't run dry.
And then we still had more time to kill so we went snack shopping (I finished almost all my snacks today at work) with plenty of meiji stuff and dried mango (which is yum!).
Finally, movie time! There was this part that made me go "Oh my gosh! Lic did that too!" (And it's only for lic and me to know and for you to figure out. HAHAHA. =x To get you guys on the right track, it has nothing to do with sex. =p)
So the movie and company was great that I didn't know it was almost midnight by the time the movie ended. Managed to get on the last train home with sunshine. (:
After that wasn't so pleasant... I followed up on my work and only managed to complete it at 2.30am. Afterwhich I fell asleep with much ease.
Work today is relatively slow-paced, but the venue sucks more than anything in the world. It's at Tuas. A 10-15minute cab ride to Jurong MRT. So I recon we'd be spending at least $30 on cab rides everyday for tomorrow and next week. That is my only luxury - cab rides. However, the venue sucks nevertheless. But then my spirit was soon lifted when I saw _________ after I alighted from the cab. My beloved Tea Leaf Egg in the Pasar Malam! Whoooooo~ Now I have something to look forward to tomorrow. Heh.
Bottom line, the movie's worth the watch, however, I recommend that ange don't watch it. I don't think she would want to either. HAHA.
